Bahamas: Two People Die on Board a Plane Crash

Bahamian authorities reported on Friday that two people died aboard a damaged plane that crashed into the sea on Thursday night off the west coast of New Providence.

According to the Air Accident Investigation Authority of The Bahamas (AAIA), a Piper Aztec aircraft was en route to Lynden Pindling International Airport, in Nassau, Bahamas, with six people on board and had to perform an emergency seagoing for aircraft problems.
One woman and an 80-year-old man died, and four survivors were treated in a hospital after the accident and are in stable condition.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and the United States Coast Guard have implemented emergency response protocols.
An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of what happened.
